Glad you are joining the forces of "darkness". I hope my daughter does it too. She needs time, but I am confident that her developing of critical thinking skills through college classes will open new and better horizons in her life.

You seem to imply that being delusional can apply either way, atheist or theist. Non sense. The more educated you are, the greater your critical thinking skills and the better the chance of your being non religious. The opposite is for the less educated. Religiosity and education run in opposite directions. Atheists quite frequently hold their position because they refuse to believe in things that can't be proven, therefore the term delusional is inappropriate. On the other hand, religious people, by definition, believe or have faith in the invisible, therefore they run a greater risk of being delusional.
Yes, Ray Franz was closer to being delusional than Bertrand Russell, but he was far from being an idiot. In the end, who gives a rip about being an atheist or theist. What matters is your humanity, of which Ray Franz had much more than most atheist and theists in the world.

The origin of the name and masthead illustration of The Watchtower
by Gorbatchov inthanks to the great "watchtower history" blog with historical information about the pre- and early bible students years, i became today aware of the origine of the name the watchtower and the masthead illustration in front of the old magazines.. in c.t.
russell's younger days, his mother and other relatives died and were buried on the family plot at the allegheny cemetery.. it must have been a defining moment voor the young ctr.
look at his inspiration to choose the name and masthead of his magazine.

Well, well. Is it possible that the watchtower just like skyscrapers today serve a practical purpose and that's the reason they are built the way they are built. I'd take Ray Franz as a friend for his integrity and compassion, even as a mentor in many issues, a lot faster than vinman.
Vinman, being an atheist doesn't make you wise, or good, or educated. Ray Franz was far better human than you are. And his beliefs in Israelite/Jewish/Christian myths has no relevance in assessing his humanity, which was far greater than most people's.

Those people you mistreated did not deserve it, but since they are an extension and the voice of their very despicable leaders, just assume that the mistreatment was directed to their leaders, who deceive, manipulate and exploit the rank and file witnesses. You are actually a very good person, don't think too much about what happened. Witnesses are used to that treatment and they will have to get used to much worse once the world learns the truth about their leaders. For starters google "pedophiles and Jehovah's witnesses" or the Australian Royal Commission, or false prophecies, or shunning. -

VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account
by WingCommander inanyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.
bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.
i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

"Bigots" has a bad connotation.
Use a different term, such as "discriminating person"... oh wait, I forgot, that word ("discriminate" and all its cognates) also lost its neutral and acceptable original meaning. Oh well, you are out of luck. Sorry. You can't voice your opinion, lest it be shocking to some.
